Edward Mooney, Jr., was born in Massachusetts and raised in California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University and a Master of Arts from the University of California, Riverside. He is finishing (2013) a Doctor of Education degree through Northeastern University, Boston.
Since his years in computers, Edward has taught high school science and social studies. He was named the Teacher of the Year for the state of California in 2010 by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Edward started writing in 1992; his first novel, "Toy Jeeps", appeared in 1997. "The Pearls of the Stone Man followed in 2002. The Japanese translation came in 2004, as well as "The Journey of the Stone Man". The final book of the "Stone Man Trilogy" is coming.
The Mooney Family lives in Southern California.
